Absinthe Mint Julep
Absinthe Mint Julep
We really love absinthe for its herbal notes, which complement our Wild Mint Syrup nicely. Here’s our revisited version of the Mint Julep, a cocktail from the American South that was originally made with bourbon and inspired the mojito.
Produit utilisé
Ingredients
-1 oz Wild Mint Syrup
-1/2 oz absinthe (we love working with the Courailleuse from Distillerie Fils du roy)
-1 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
-Orange bitters
-Crushed ice
-Fresh mint
-1 slice of orange
Preparation
Crush ice, place in a glass and set aside. Pour the rest of the ingredients into a shaker, add ice and shake vigorously. Filter the mixture through a strainer, pouring it over the crushed ice. Add several drops of orange bitters and garnish with mint and a slice of orange.
